Thursday, April 12 2012 - Runners' Choice Middle Distance Circuit

Two exciting races have teamed up with two great specialty retailers to bring one fantastic race circuit. The June 15th Cambridge Classic Mile and the June 22nd New Balance 1,500m Night have teamed up with Runners' Choice Waterloo and Runners' Choice London to create a Middle Distance Circuit with extensive prizing. Both events will offer prizing for each Heat (London) or Age Category (Cambridge), as well as the Circuit Prizing:

Runners' Choice Middle Distance Circuit - Prizing to Top-3 Overall
1st - $750 plus 1 pair of shoes, shorts, and socks
2nd - $250 plus 1 pair of shoes, shorts, and socks
3rd - 1 pair of shoes, shorts, and socks

The shoes and apparel can be picked up at either Runners' Choice Waterloo or Runners' Choice London, following the June 22nd event.

Runners' Choice Middle Distance Circuit - Scoring
Athletes competing in both the June 15th Cambridge Classic Mile and the June 22nd New Balance 1,500m Night  will compete for Top-3 Overall Prizing based on their combined placing at these events - lowest combined score wins! Placing at each meet will be based on results from all heats, not just the top section.
Ties will be broken based on the superior performance over 1,500m, using Mercier points.
Tie-breaker example: Female places 2nd at both events and runs a 4:20 1,500m; Male places 1st at the Mile and 3rd at the 1,500m in 3:46. Both have scored 4 points. The Female 4:20 1,500m scores more Mercier points and she wins the Overall 1st Prize, while the Male will place 2nd.
