Nathan was a member of the University of Western Ontario cross country and track & field teams from 2003-2008. He attended the Canadian Track & Field Championships in 2005 (800m), 2007 (1500m), and 2008 (1500m). He was a bronze medalist at the Canadian Junior Track & Field Championships in 2004 (1500m). Nathan has been a member of London Runner since 2007 and was on their 2009 Canadian cross country bronze medalist team.

As an Assistant Coach, Nathan focuses on a select group of Middle Distance runners, while also providing input on Weight training.
