A former Western Mustang, Weiler has been the driving force in the recent emergence of the London running scene, which has not only become a focal racing location but has developed one of the stronger Senior training groups in the province. Since the inception of the LRDC, Weiler has been mentored by two of the top distance coaches in the country and plans to continue his development through such relationships and by taking the High Performance Coaching program at the National Coaching Institute - Ontario.
Practical coaching experience:
- Coach for 'Team Canada' at the 2008 Austin Marathon, 2008 and 2009 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon International Team Challenge
- Coached athletes to the Senior National level in all track distances 800m-10,000m, and to Nationally-ranked level over the Half-Marathon and Marathon distances
